Green Approach

At International Magnesium Group, we are conscious about our environment.  Our goal is to be as energy efficient as we can be.  We want to make as little as an environmental impact as possible and lead the industry in this effort.

All of our facilities in the Shanxi province have been strategically located in close proximity to steel coking refineries.  We do this in order to utilize the waste gas produced by these refineries to fuel our magnesium producing furnaces.  Recycling this waste gas enables us to substantially reduce harmful emissions relative to our coal burning or gas generating competitors.

Each of our facilities in the Shanxi Province has entered into multi-year agreements with certain coke refineries to access their waste gas.  This will result in stable energy cost for our magnesium production and our continued efforts to be environmentally responsible.
